The house is a delight: thoughtful modern architecture in the middle of the Alentejo country, crisp white decor with colour twists and lots of small details for parents and children. The room with the three bunk beds was a huge success.

Even amidst a heat wave in the Iberian Peninsula, the house was fresh and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. It is a different type of summer (no close beaches) but the area offers lots of options: water activities in the Alqueva lake, star gazing (magnificent!), bike rides, Monsaraz.

The ages of the children ranged from 8 to 12 and the plan and house were perfect for them. However, the house is also prepared for younger children (as the owners' own) with cribs and high chairs. Renato was really warm and helpful and also was the family's empregada, Dona Antonia.

To be noted, as they correctly indicate in the house description, that shopping errands need to be carefully planned since stocked shops are 20 kms away. We have really enjoyed the house, the stay and the Alentejo.
